Here we have two videos that show the Jack Daniels experience. Both are excellent in terms of showing how a company has valued added their manufactured good (here a brand of America (Tennessee) whisky) by developing a planned experience that engages with consumers.

Some things to watch and listen for (maybe engage your sense of taste as well and watch the videos with a small glass of Jack’s finest) are concepts expounded by Pine & Gilmore in their text. you maybe surprised by how many are mentioned. Also look at the servicescape in both. Of interest i think the pop up version is remarkable in how much it reflects the feel and look of the museum/visitor centre in Tennessee.

I think these video provide a very useful preparation for assignment one. They clearly represent and analyse excellent examples of planned experiences. They demonstrate a company’s embrace of experiences to value add a manufactured good. The videos show thoughtful servicescapes that enhance the experiences depicted.
